Lyric submission check list

Send your lyrics to submissions@mistersongwriter.com and please make sure

 all of the requested information below appears within the body of the text of your lyrics

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

1.

Make certain your lyrics are copyrighted. This is for your protection not ours!

2.

Attempt to make your lyrics read around 3 minutes in length. Not longer than 5.

3.

Put your lyrics in the proper form for us to work with as shown in our samples. 

4.

Your submission must have a title, authors name and both mailing address and E-mail address.

5.

Please check carefully for spelling. If we have to guess on words, it will not be accepted.

6.

We don't mind an occasional cuss word here and there, but obscene material is not acceptable.

7.

Make sure you understand how PayPal works. See links page and visit PayPal for instructions. 

Please convert you lyrics to plain text and put them right in the body of your E-mail. If you are using Word for your lyrics, you can easily convert them to text by simply saving them as .txt and dropping them into "note pad". Then from "note pad" you can just cut and paste them right into the body of your Email. 

(NOTE) Please do not send them as attachments, with so many firewalls they sometimes won't make it through. 

                                                                     A few final thoughts

We love our craft and we hope you do also. Please don't be discouraged if your lyrics are not accepted. Keep writing, sharpen your skills, and by all means, share your thoughts with others. If you are a serious writer then you know the value of objectivity. Your writing must strike a chord with, and make sense to, the reader. Always try to get a few opinions from people you trust before thinking your poem is done.

We are fortunate that melodies and chords come easily to us which is why we offer this service.
